Daniel Hedh

Senior Partner |

My name is Daniel Hedh, and I’ve devoted my entire life to sales, but it wasn’t until I heard the words “you can become something” that my true passion and interest in the field were awakened. That feeling became my mantra, and today I strive to inspire others in the same way that I myself was inspired. After eight years in the staffing and recruitment industry—where I started as an intern and worked my way up to sales representative, sales manager, and partner—I realized my dream when I joined Adviser Partner. My goal is to help others believe in themselves and have the courage to take the leap toward reaching their full potential.

At Adviser Partner, I’ve learned the importance of being authentic and staying true to myself, whether I’m stepping into a training room or meeting with a client during a sales meeting. I’m passionate about helping people have the courage to believe in themselves and grow in sales. In my work, I focus on the basics of sales—the fundamentals—and how motivation, discipline, and enthusiasm can take them to the next level.

With a full focus on your success, I bring an unbeatable combination of energy, focus, and a proven track record of top sales results. I approach every assignment with 100% commitment, always ready to deliver and exceed expectations. With my experience, I’ll help you build a strong foundation, boost your confidence, and develop into an even sharper salesperson—with both passion and structure. We love salespeople, the hallmark of a top seller!

In this podcast episode, I barged in on Jonas Olofsson, CEO of Adviser Partner, on the “We Love Sales People” podcast and highlighted the DNA of a top salesperson. I love “no”—every “no” is rocket fuel on the way to “yes.” I’m curious as hell; questions blow doors open. Structure and passion turn chaos into total domination. 100% authentic—bullshit dies in three seconds. Ready to step up as a top salesperson? The Secrets of a Top Salesperson – Acceptance, Partial Closure, and the Process Leading Up to the Results

In this episode, I continue my conversation with Jonas Olofsson, CEO of Adviser Partner, about how top salespeople set themselves apart from others through process and mindset—not by chasing results. I’ll walk you through how acceptance and partial closure help you build agreements step by step—without manipulation—by genuinely caring about the customer’s opinion.

Frequently Asked Questions

One of the most common misconceptions I encounter at companies is that people confuse a sales funnel with a sales process.

Most of the time, when I ask a client to show me or sketch out their sales process, they usually show me a sales flowchart.

It's good to have a sales flowchart, but that's not the same thing as a sales process.

A well-structured sales process not only shows the order in which the salesperson should carry out tasks, but also describes WHAT to do and HOW to do it in each step. The documented sales process also explains to the salesperson WHY each step should be done in that particular order and specifies a clear outcome that must be achieved in order to move the customer to the next step.

A well-documented sales process should serve as our common framework for how we systematically guide the customer toward a decision in which we have given ourselves the best possible chance of winning the business.

“Then we’ll educate and train your super-talented guys and girls in needs analysis.”

“But they already know how to do that”

No, no, no…..

In our view at Adviser Partner, needs analysis is the most underrated and misunderstood aspect of the sales process.

If you ask salespeople, “Why do we conduct a needs analysis?” our observation is that 99.5% will answer, “To understand the customer’s needs.” That in itself isn’t entirely wrong, but it’s not the DEFINITIVE answer either.

We conduct a needs assessment primarily so that the customer understands that they need to make a change together with us—a change that will ultimately lead to a BETTER outcome for them.

Our understanding of the customer's needs comes as a bonus.

The purpose of a needs analysis is to identify, spark, or create—and then reinforce—an idea in the customer’s mind where OUR solution is the answer. As mentioned, a needs analysis is the key to high and profitable sales, and it’s what transforms us salespeople from mere salespeople into strategic partners in the customer’s eyes.

Becoming good, better, and the BEST at needs analysis is both the hardest and most rewarding thing we as salespeople can do. Is it worth the famous 10,000 hours? Without a doubt.

"Should we go ahead with this?"

What we salespeople need to master at the moment of closing is the courage to ask the question above with genuine intent and then have the courage to wait for the customer's response.

The reason your salespeople aren't selling more can be found earlier in the process—that is, either in the RELATIONSHIP/NEEDS ANALYSIS or in the INITIAL SALE.

Most likely in the salesperson’s combined ability to generate goodwill, build trust, and conduct a thorough needs analysis that results in a customer who wants to buy.

No one wants to be sold to, but everyone wants to buy.

Because nothing is constant, and there’s a law of physics that states that if something isn’t growing, it’s shrinking. This applies very much to skills. If you don’t constantly develop your salespeople and make them BETTER, unfortunately the opposite will happen. Our other clients don’t want their salespeople to get worse over time, and we only want to work with sales organizations that strive to be good, better, and the BEST in their industry. Do you want the arrows pointing up or down for your salespeople?
