Background

Ework is structured as a matrix organization in which every employee has proactive sales responsibilities. When Pernilla Nilsson became Sales and Marketing Director in 2016, she set a clear goal: to streamline the Group’s pipeline management.

For many years, the organization had been experiencing strong growth, though at times this was accompanied by growing pains—a reactive focus on delivering rather than seeking out new business.

Goals Before the Trip

  • Structured Pipeline
  • Higher minimum price for sales
  • From Reactive to Proactive
"I realized right away that they understood my situation. They described how all the salespeople were running in different directions and hit the nail on the head: we had no structure."

That's how Eworks' new growth engine took shape.

Follow the steps of the collaboration that built a shared foundation—and made sales training a natural part of everyday life.

1

The Right Timing, the Right Diagnosis

Adviser Partner called at just the right moment. The focus had been too much on order processing. What was needed was to encourage a more proactive approach in an organization where many people already had sales responsibilities.
2

Common Foundation

Ework needed to establish a foundation on which to build. The goal: a higher baseline for all salespeople. Adviser Partner contributed a culture, values, and an effective way to provide hands-on sales training.
3

Production Meetings at the Campaign Level

The clearest example was production meetings, where activity levels and sales targets are set and tracked. The training wasn't a one-time effort but rather a way of working that is now ingrained in the organization.

Results

Pernilla describes the result as a new sales culture. The barrier to making sales was lowered, the structure was strengthened, and deals were followed up on more systematically.

Thanks to this collaboration, Ework generated several million in additional sales—while also providing employees with tools that work in their day-to-day sales activities.

"The most obvious example was when we established our campaign-level production meetings. At these meetings, we set budgets for activity levels and sales—and that has made a big difference."
